When he entered, he saw a shop chock-full of equipment
used for scuba and skin diving. Weaving through the
crowded shop, he made his way to the counter. The man
behind it made Cash do a double take, was this the
ferry operator? On a second look, he realized that
there was just a strong family resemblance, this must
be one of the Shale brothers, the other was piloting
the ferry. The young man looked up from the paper he
was reading as Cash asked, "Are you the owner?"

After a shocked look, the man replied, "Yes, Phillip
Shale, How can I help you man?" Cash decided to use
Miss Unfeusceit's advice. "Look man, my name is Josh
Cash and I have some cash to invest and I was thinking
you might be a good place to invest here in Gotham,"
Cash glanced at the paper and gestured to the front
page, "It was just a miss-understanding, I saw the
body and was freaked out by it." True enough, if he
stayed much longer, he might have been tempted to
feed, and that wouldn't have been a good idea.

Phillip was cautious, "I don't know man, you just come
out of the blue, and I'm not the sole owner," he
seemed unconvinced of Cash's explanation. Cash could
accept this, but he could see that he would need to do
something about the park murder before he could build
trust with the Shales, well, he had an eternity of
time to work with, and other means of persuasion at
his disposal if he needed them. "I see that you're a
bit uncomfortable about this, I'll let you discuss my
proposal to invest with your brother, Simon, was it,"
Phillip's eyes quickly rose to Cash's face with that
revelation. "I did a little research before I came
here," he said, responding to Phillip's unasked
question, "Why don't you see what he has to say, I
think the first thing is to repair and refurbish the
ferries, they sure could use it." Pulling a card from
his pocked, Cash handed it to Phillip, "Sorry for the
long distance number, but I'm fairly new in town, give
me a call tomorrow night and we'll discuss my ideas
farther." With that, he turned and walked from the
shop.

Walking back to his bike, Cash pulled that same
out-of-town cell phone from his pocket and dialed the
number for Montoya, after a couple of rings, it was
picked up. "I'd like to make an appointment for
tomorrow night to see Montoya, the name is Joshua
Cash." After setting the time for the appointment,
Cash continued his exploration of Gotham before
resting again in the earth of the park.

End of Friday

OOC: Spikey, I don't know if Montoya was invited to
Lady Sinclair's party or not, but you did say you
wanted to have Montoya and Cash meet on Saturday night.
