Oh well, this should keep until tomorrow, Cash
thought. Carefully folding the paper, he stowed it in
one of his saddlebags. Kick-starting the bike, he
headed on to the docks.
The ride through the damp air refreshed him and helped
to forget - temporarily - the article in the paper.
Consulting the map of Gotham, he turned along the
docks and located the ferry 'terminal.' Even after
what Miss. Unfeusceit said about the condition of the
ferries - 'half rotten' she had said, Cash wasn't even
sure they were seaworthy. Rolling his bike onto the
ferry, he paid the, quite reasonable, fare to the
island.
As the ferry got underway, he realized that it was in
quite a bit better shape than he at first thought.
Strolling around the deck during the trip across the
bay showed definite possibilities. After docking, he
rolled his bike off and thanked the young man who
piloted the boat.
Starting the bike back up, he ode around the island,
looking for the shop. On the southern end of the
island, he came across it, a modest building with a
half-faded sign reading 'Slippery when Wet.'
Traveling a bit further on, Cash pulled the bike into
a side street and parked it, walking back to the shop.
