Dr. Lazarus, John Black
Gotham Museum, Egyptian wing

John turned from the exhibit to glance down at the man
in the wheelchair. A shrugged "Just curious about
when these items were made."

He returned his attenten to the display. "I don't
know if I would call myself an enthusiast, but I enjoy
history and pick things up here and there. Never was
interested in Egypt though. Greece and Rome were my
areas of interest."

"Are you the curator?"

"Yes," Hiram replied, reaching out a hand to shake, "Hiram Lazarus."

After a quick handshake, Hiram looked at the tablets in the case that John
had been asking about. He put on his glasses and looked them over.

"Ahh, yes," he said, "these come from the temple of Par Bast, and date from
Egypt's third dynasty. Specifically the reign of the Pharoh Djoser, roughly
cira 2800 B.C." He looked back to John. "Some of the most intact pieces
found from that period."
