Cash
After sunset Friday
Gotham Park and Streets of Gotham
Cash awoke in the cool embrace of the earth. He
always found it comforting to awake surrounded by soft
earth, but unless traveling, he tried not to do it too
often, aware of the cost in blood. Slowly rising to
the surface, he listened carefully for the tell-tale
sound of foot falls on the soil above, he _definitely_
didn't want to be caught rising from the earth.
Fortunately, he had moved as far as possible from the
edge of the copse of trees and the night above him was
blessedly silent.
Standing, Cash brushed the last bits of dirt that
inevitably clung to his clothing. Quickly running his
hand through his hair, he walked from the trees and
toward the parking garage where he left his bike. The
attendant gave him a funny look when he asked for his
bike, but a large tip removed it. Just in case
though, he immediately mounted the bike and rode a few
blocks before checking his bags. Everything was
there, fortunately, so he continued toward the shore.
Stopping under a streetlight, he pulled his cell from
his pocket. Turning it on, he saw there was one text
message. It said simply, "Montoya" with a phone
number and an address, a penthouse suite in Gotham
Towers. At least Titus had fulfilled this part of
their agreement. Noting this information in his Palm
pilot, he checks the information he got from Miss
Unfeusceit about his potential partners. Checking a
map of Gotham, he made a note of where the Ferry
docked on this end.
As he started to remount and start the bike, his eyes
scanned the area. One item caught his attention, a
newspaper box for the Gotham Herald, this alone
wouldn't have caught his attention, but the headline
did - MURDER IN THE PARK - and the picture beneath it,
an artist's rendering that could be him captioned 'A
person of interest to Gotham Police in connection to
the killing.' "Sh*t," Cash said aloud, reaching into
his pocket, he retrieved the change needed to purchase
the paper and looked quickly at the front page, this
would explain the look from the parking attendant, he
recalled seeing a rumpled paper in the booth.
This would complicate maters.

OOC: Spikey, don't forget Cash and his wandering. I
hope to at least contact the Shales, before contacting Montoya.
