Gotham Park
At this late hour, Gotham Park was nearly deserted.
But not so deserted that fun and games could not be
had. A female jogger strides along the path, moving
in time to the music from her iPod, her blonde
ponytail bouncing along.
Ah yes, it was all coming back now. The thrill of the
chase, the thrill of the kill. A pale hand goes for a
pocket. The cold handle of the knife was still there.
It wanted blood. It needed blood It was crying now,
having been neglected for so long.
A glance to the west, the direction the jogger was
heading. Yes, a nice dark spot with no people, no
lights. The perfect killing ground.
Running now, like a flash. Not even winded while
running, faster than the oblivious jogger, and stops
at the chosen spot. Soon, very soon, the trap will be
sprung.
>From the other pocket is withdrawn a white rose.
Stroking the rose now with a pale hand. The petals
were so soft and velvety. A perfect bloom for a
perfect death.
