The Scarab watched Christine stumble out, then turned to Bastet.

"Find Sugar," he said as more of the 'employees' regrouped from the chaos, 
and armed themselves. "I can hold them for a while."

He took a quick look around, noticing a set of rickety stairs leading to a 
set of offices along the far wall.

"There," he told her, as he started running toward the stairs. As he got 
close to the foot of them, a mob started to gather...

(Tag... I'm thinking joint post here, unless Spike wants to put some 
pernicious twist in here...)
