[Bast]
Bastette felt the anger, felt the demon's rancid breath, felt her
Avatar pressing against the will of the demon to remain in the world
of the living, and then she felt something else... an extra weapon,
the fire that had been lacking from her weaving claws.

Gripping them with her will, with her rote, with her Soul, she felt as
some of the shards flew at the demon and others clanked against her
suit of armor, another giving her a bothersome splinter to remove
later, some scratching at her exposed leg, but the anger from the
demon, the rage of being so insultingly and minorly scathed, fueled
her Effect to its crescendo, with Bast tearing forward with her
talons, tearing at the seal to open it wider, to drag the demon
through.

She would see it smited from her sight, she would see the girl freed,
she would see that the vision Christine shared with her did not come
to pass... just the thought of that vision, of the golden armor
scattered was enough for her eyes to burn with a smoldering blackness,
she would see the rest of this city that her Avatar has brought her
to, she would see the morning, she would see the history of her orgins
and why she so easily began the path of a Dreamspeaker...

Consciously or not, these thoughts flowed through as well, batter at
the seal and the demon just as much or more than the claws of silver,
wood, and glass. There was no chance for hesitation, no fear of
failure, only confidence, and a fury to make sure that that confidence
was founded.

OOC: Apologies for the longer delay than usual, but it looks like it
