The Scarab, Bastette, Sugar Kane, the Ahazu
Gold, Silver, Red, ... Demon


[The Scarab's] senses could even see the interplay of forces between Aurora 
and the
Beast. Will and Magical energy crushing slowly one against the other, and
the friction building as they inched closer together.

God, that made him mad!

The Scarab's first thought was to tear the demon apart with his bare hands. 
But rationality crept back in, and then he got an idea.

He raised his hands, the field emitters in the palms glowing bright green. 
At the same moment, the shamir stone on the back of his neck began to glow 
as well.

An instant later the jagged shards of glass and wood on the office floor 
that had been the remnants of both his and Bastette's entrance jolted into 
the air, floating for a moment as they all reoriented themselves, shifting 
their dagger-like points to bear upon the demon in man's clothing. Then, 
all at once, they shot at the demon...
