[Christine]
Cat? thinks Christine through her guilt. Dig? Is he being ironic? He
doesn't look any older than she is. What's with the Beatnik era jargon?

"Right," she murmurs faintly. "So . . . can I expect to be gifted
with supernatural features by the - what? AntiSmurf? - too, now? Is
that a *special* thing that happens to folks like us? 'Cos, y'know,
I'm still at the stage where that looks like a pretty damn freaky
kinda happening!"

[Christine]
Christine stares at Bellamy owlishly. A gift from Peter?

"Really?" she asks, unable to mask her surprise. "I mean, what is it?
And how did he know I'd come here . . . ?"

Christine pauses to think. Not a huge stretch by Panic really, to
guess that she might fish up at St Bridget's. Once again though, she
is unnerved by being so easy to read by someone that she finds
roughly as fathomable as Sanskrit. Unless, of course, he also has the
Sight or, wait a minute, maybe some means to observe things happening
elsewhere. FarSight. Christine feels something chime inside. Okay.
She breathes a small sigh. A reasonable, non-paranoid explanation -
albeit a supernatural one.

"Did Peter say what was in the package? Or why he was giving it to
me?" she asks Bellamy, curious and a little wary.
