The Scarab, Bastette, Sugar Kane, the Ahazu
Gold, Silver, Red, ... Demon

Feeling the knot between her fingers made Sugar's mind race with that
chance of hope.  The noise of chaos had reached her ears, but it
didn't put her at ease.  Her arms tensed and the pain at her wrists
was forgotten for the moment as she gritted her teeth and pushed again
at the rough fibers.

She could feel her heart pounding against her ribs once again and
tried to pull her thoughts together to form something coherent.

As the Scarab burst through the door, Sugar instinctively cowarded
against the noise as she waited for that knot to give way to her
fingers.
