finish the sentence.

"I have a hunch he doesn't.  Those guys were pros, sent to deliver a
message.  Plus, Asians tend to fear the police and don't always report
crimes."

She follows him back into the bar to see Sue Lei at the bar, still guarding
her purse.<<

"So the priest turns back to the nun" Sue Lei was saying to Emma and one of
the waitresses at the bar, "Don't look at me like that, how was I supposed
to know she had a wooden leg!"

The waitress disolved in a fit of giggles and the corners of Emma's mouth
twitched slightly as a smile threatened her normaly dour contenance but all
humour faded from her face as she spied the trio entering behind Sue Lei.

Sensing that something was amiss Sue Lei turned, shock and concern evident
on her face.

"Toby" she exclaimed and quickly went over to him.

"What happened?" she demanded of Malone, anger in her voice, "Who did this
to him?"
