Gold, Silver, Red, ... Demon


Bast, at this point, would jump if Scarab said jump, probably,
trusting his experience over her gut reaction, and this certainly
wasn't what her gut reaction would do, but she doesn't hesitate,
grabbing hold of the whip first with one, then the other, waiting for
Scarab to make his move and bracing herself to jump to help.

As she took the whip in hand, Bast felt herself actually become lighter. 
And, with a flick of his arm, the Scarab used the whip to lift her into the 
air. And, with another flick she was catapulted through the office window 
with a shattering cacophony and a shower of glass.

On the floor, the crowd of 'workers' encircled the Scarab...
