Sugar ignored the monster of a man.  Her normally vivacious attituded
had been muted in a quiet trade-off for survival.  She was smart
enough to not try to make the situation any worse than it was without
some reason behind it.  Tossing her glance to the floor, she let her
fingers reach for the rope.  It seemed so close and the hurt of
rubbing her wrists raw seemed inconsequential at the moment.
