>Hope watches the thug land in the garbage.  If that didn't chase them off, then they'd have to take them all out.   Drawing on her academy training, Hope continues toward the two men.  "The cops are on the way.  Get lost."   

One of the hoods had started to advance on them, but his partner caught his arm and once Hope spoke, they both thought better of it and fled in the opposite direction. The Thug in the garbage groaned and caused Malone to look around. 

"If you're gonna run, you better do it now" he said in a simple monotone. The guy didn't think twice before dragging himself up and limping off after his friends. 

The Vic grunted once and tried to stand up. Kid, and he was a kid, had guts at least. But he didn't have his legs and he slumped down again.
