Giger, Elizabeth
In Transit

Giger had allowed Elizabeth time only to grab a coat,
and it was amazing that she was able to locate it in
the various bits of her luggage.

It was a matter of mere minutes before they were out
of the Chantry doors and back in his car, the trailer
having been removed from the car by the Chantry's
servants, and left with the doors empty and forlorn
now that it had disgorged its contents.

Giger takes a cautious look back at the doors.
Montenegro was not rushing to intercept them, but then
again, perhaps the punishment would come AFTER they
returned.

The trip through the suburbs was quiet and uneventful.
After all, the denizens here had long since rolled up
the sidewalks.

Elizabeth did not speak a word. He wanted to ask her
what had happened, but then again, it was better maybe
that he didn't know.

But as they crossed into Uptown, signs of nightlife
began to emerge until finally they arrived at Club
Harlequin.

Oddly, his car does not seem terribly out of place i
the parking lot, as Mercedes and Beemers were parked
admist Fords, Chevies and generic, unidentified
Beaters.

Ever the gentleman, Giger helps Elizabeth from the
car, and after locking it, offers her his arm.
Together, they make their way to the front door of
Club Harlequin, and the rumored wonders that lay
beyond it...
