Michael looked up from where he had been focused on
Kiss, the light behind
his eyes dimming for a second, and fading. "Hello
Matthew." He gestured to
the rest of the table, "This is Tess, Kiss, and
Columbine. Sit down then,
the both of you."

John nods his thanks and returns to his seat, noting
Columbine's gaze towards the owner.  He makes a mental
note to investigate the matter later.

"Matt's an old friend that hasn't been in town long. 
Tomorrow night, we plan to see the sites, get drunk,
and discover what sort of trouble we can get ourselves
into and then out of.  I don't suppose anyone has any
suggestions for a gambler and a shop owner with a wad
of cash and all the time in the world?"

There was a hint of a challenge in his voice, daring
those gathered to do their best.
