John sighed. "You know my feelings towards the
parasites of humanity, the leeches especially. But
Nekhem is our Sister, and I will not now nor will I
ever make a move against those she considers
important. That doesn't make her any less important
to me."
He looked around, "As for staying here," he gave Matt
a look that could only be described as humorously
suspicious. "In less than 24 hours I've run into
three very old and dear friends. Do you really think
I'm in any condition to gamble? You will not trick me
tonight, old friend. Besides . . ." he looked around
in distaste, "the aura of this place has too much in
common with its owner, rot and decay. No good can
come from playing here, and luck will exact too high a
price."
He turned his attention back to Matt. "Let's go
upstairs and enjoy Nekhem's company, and endure the
presence of the others. Tomorrow we rest, and
tomorrow night." An evil smile spread across his
face, "We shall truly celebrate as gods like us are
meant too." John tried to impart in his words the
promise of adventure and debautury that only an
Undying could truly appreciate.
If Matt agreed, it would buy some time to find out
what was wrong.

Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died. -- Stephen Wright
