The man peered around his shoulder, seemingly unwilling to pull anything more than his attention away from the table. His eyes displayed a copious amount of alcohol drunk this evening and he took a few moments to recognise his old companion. When he did so he leapt up and threw an arm around John.

"Bloody hell its the Centurion, as I live and breathe!" He pushes John away from him a little, getting agood look at him. "What the hell are you doing in this cesspit of a city Roman?"
