"A very good place to start!" Ash replies with a broad grin. Clearly the new
distraction fills him with excitement. "I am sure that those whom the
Harlequin employs are quite adept at noticing such things!" he rises, "Shall
we go and ask?"

[Lady A's response]

"Sure I remember" Dennis replies sheepishly, "They guy had a strange accent
and didn't tip. He was in a cab, one of the Gotham cab yellow and
checkerboard jobbies. I got a friend works in their dispatch if it helps?"

"It would help a great deal old thing!" Ash replies, slipping the doorman a
hundred dollar bill. "too and from, what time and all that if possible!"

The large Romany man sidles over to the hat check stand and retrieves a
bakelite phone. He spends a few minutes chewing the breeze with who ever is
on the other end of the line while Ash retrieves his Coat and Lady Gaspare's
own clothes. The Toreador helps her into her coat, smiling all the time.

"And people say the Ravnos and their kin are untrustworthy" he comments
"when in truth, those same people are merely too cheap to pay the Tsigani
what they are worth. Its all a matter of showing them the proper respect and
the right dead president!"
